All the garages in Trust My Garage are members of the Independent Garage Association which is part of the Retail Motor Industry Federation, one of Britain’s oldest motor trade organisations. IGA members are true professionals who have to comply with a strict code of practice.

Each and every customer of all Trust My Garage members can rely on using a nationally recognised brand. If there’s a problem that can’t be sorted out between you and your garage, Alternative Dispute Resolution services are available to help achieve a happy outcome.

Simply enter your car reg and location on our homepage to bring up your closest Trust My Garage members. From there, you can refine your search by services you need to. Once you’ve found a garage, you can check opening times, contact details, services offered and reviews – or submit a quick form to get an estimate from your garage.

All prospective Trust My Garage members are required to complete a comprehensive audit of their facilities before we will confirm their membership. This gives you the assurance that any garage listed on our website will do a professional job for a fair price on your vehicle, all while treating you and your vehicle with respect.

All IGA members automatically have access to Alternative Dispute Resolution through the National Conciliation Service. If at any point, you are unhappy with the service you have received, the NCS is there to resolve a dispute without involving the courts.

It’s a common misconception that having your new car serviced at an independent garage will void your warranty, and that you must go to a franchised dealer. This is absolutely not the case, and in fact under European Law, the Block Exemption Regulations give you the right to have your vehicle serviced, maintained and repaired at an independent garage of your choice, without invalidating your warranty. This is as long as the independent garage services the vehicle according to the manufacturer’s schedule using parts which are of “equivalent quality”, which all Trust My Garage members comply with.

If you have a problem with one of our members, please contact them and give them a chance to resolve the matter. If you can’t come to a solution, you may file an official complaint with the National Conciliation Service (NCS), our independent Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider, at www.NationalConciliationService.co.uk.

To leave feedback for your garage, you will need to search for them by entering your car reg and location on our home page. Once you have found your garage, clicking on the yellow “review garage” will take you to a web form where you can give details about yourself, your vehicle, and the service you received. If you booked directly through the Trust My Garage website, you will also receive an email reminding you to leave your feedback once work on your vehicle has been completed.

You can put your postcode into our search facility and see if they come up. Trust My Garage members will have prominently displayed Trust My Garage marketing materials around their premises – just look for the blue crest.
