| I needed a clutch replacement as the slave cylinder had a leak which caused the pedal to fail. My usual garage wouldn't take on the job due to my engine model, so I needed to find another garage that would undertake the work. Bancroft garage was very helpful and explained in detail the nature of the fault, what repairs were necessary, and which were optional. | I discovered this garage by chance, a couple of years ago, and as a single female I am always wary of getting ripped off or fed stories about "extra unknown jobs" to bump prices up. However, I can wholeheartedly say this is not the case with Bancroft garage, I have had a number of issues sorted and fixed by the team, and only ever found them to be fair, professional, trustworthy, efficient and friendly. | My car was in terrible state as it had been left since February due to shielding from Covid 19. Bancroft Garage showed amazing patience and kindness as I messed them about when no one could start the car. They came out twice to try to collect it. I was having a very bad time and this was all very difficult as I wasn't living near to where to car was abandoned. My husband is terminally ill and was having unscheduled hospital visits so that making any arrangements was difficult. I was stressed and worried about the car. These kind men took it all in their stride and eventually the car was safely in their efficient garage and all the work required was done. I have used them before and have every confidence in the workmanship but this extra dimension of care and understanding was wonderful and just what I needed.
