I have had problems with the AC on this car since I bought it from Carbase in March 2020, but they have resolved it with no quibble each time. I don't blame them for it. A garage in Emersons Green have messed me around and Josh listened to me when I needed help this time. I am so happy with the effort he put in on my behalf, I will make sure I recommend Carbase in future and use them again. He went over and above and really showed up the other firm. I visited Carbase December 2017 after finding a VW Tiguan they had advertised online that sounded exactly what I was looking for. The service was excellent and the car turned out to be exactly what I wanted. The sales agent was pleasant, informative and non pushy. Although I have owned many cars before, this is the first time I have purchased a vehicle from a supplier of this type, previously buying privately or running family hand me downs. I took possession of the car which looked amazing and although it was 5 years old, looked new. After a few hundred miles I noticed a couple of issues which wouldn't have been picked up on their 82 point RAC test and arranged for them to rectify the problems, which they did quickly and efficiently under the warranty. I had also detected a gear box issue which was intermittent and only occurred in 5th gear (automatic with 7 forward gears). This was a fault that only the previous owner would have known about. I discussed the issue with the Carbase service department, who again were very helpful and concerned that the fault should be corrected under the warranty. They examined the car thoroughly and took photographs of the gear cogs and reinstalled software etc. however the problem continued. I logged when it was happening and as it was a specialist issue and they work closely with Bristol Transmissions, they instructed me to take it to have a full examination and repair. This problem was really hard to diagnose and Bristol Transmissions stripped the gearbox down, replaced a number of parts including the multi flywheel and clutch. Car base and Bristol Transmissions communicated well and thought the issue was completely resolved at no cost to myself. However, when I drove the car in 5th gear the noise was still there. I dropped into Carbase to thank them for their continuing support and to look for a new way forward. They insisted that this was still vital for them to get to the bottom of the issue and asked me to return the car to Bristol Transmissions. After further investigation Bristol Transmissions called to and said they had decided the only way forward to find a resolution to the problem was to fit a new gear box. This was built abroad, imported and fitted for me and the car is now perfect! From entering the showroom until all the issues were resolved spanned many months due to the nature of the problem. It was my suggestion to drive the car over a long period of time to see if the issue became more apparent and therefore be able to establish exactly when the noise occurred, however Carbase were fully supportive throughout the process. I have been so impressed with the attitude, support and the care Carbase have shown throughout this process and would not hesitate to buy my next car from them. I have already recommended them to 4 other friends, one of which have purchased a vehicle following my lead. I have also told a number of others about my experience and virtually everyone I have spoken to is keen to buy their next car from Carbase, knowing the level of support and aftercare they have provided for me. I recently bought my car from Carbase and didn’t get an extended warranty. There was a fault with the compressor for the air suspection (a common issue on this car I found out through my own research) which occurred just over a week after my warrnty expired. I took it on the chin and just asked them to do the work. Not only were Carbase efficient, friendly and professional, they did all of the work for free as a gesture of good will given the purchase date. I have never experienced anything like that before with a garage and I really could not recommended them more highly on all levels. December 29, 2018
Bought my car from Carbase (after a friend's referall) and then had some work done by the garage within 30 days of purchase. Clutch replaced, tracking re-aligned, windscreen trims & chrome trims replaced, seat rattle sorted, diagnostics re-checked, courtesy car provided (although needed cleaning inside). Can not fault carbase at all , had an issue with the car and I was just outside the warranty of a few days , carbase still repaired the car . They replied to all my emails and went above and beyond. I drive my mum around as she is disabled so to have the car on the road is very important. I have never had such amazing service from a car sales in the 20 years I’ve been driving July 12, 2018

I purchased a car from Carbase Bristol, not long after I had the car I had a problem with my wheels and locking wheel bolts. I contacted Carbase and Nigel Corner who was very professional and understanding, as I lived a long distance from Carbase I was able to take my car to a local dealer who had the locking wheel bolts removed, all four wheels refurbished and replacement locking wheel bolts fitted. All I had to do was send the invoices to Nigel who organised payment to my account to cover all costs. I would recommend this dealer very highly in the way they dealt with me and my vehicle. Josh and Sarah who deal directly with customers have been really helpful to me since I first started using the Carbase auto centre. I totally trust that I will not be over charged and that my car will be well looked after. I feel that the work done by the mechanics and auto electricians there is good value and the service provided by front of house is honest and friendly.
