| I have taken my car to Sun Motors for a number of years now since they were recommended to me. Being a female, unfortunately one has to be wary that I'm not being ripped off as has happened to me before in other garages. I am always surprised when I take my car to Sun Motors expecting to pay for an MOT and service, but to be advised that I don't really need a service as I hadn't done enough miles to warrant it! I'm pretty sure other garages would just carry out the unnecessary work regardless. Once, I took my car in to have the back of my car checked because someone had gone into the back of me. I couldn't see any damage but am aware that sometimes damage can be done that isn't noticeable to the untrained eye. Sean put my car up on the car lift and thoroughly checked it-he couldn't see any damage. I asked him how much for his time-he said, "Nothing." I had to force him to take £10! | I was lucky enough to discover Sun Motors around 6 years ago.
After a lifetime of fighting with the liars, cheats and thieves that usually run garages, it was a breath of fresh air to meet someone honest, reliable and trustworthy.
They explain things clearly, discuss what is required and the cost, in advance of doing anything, and do what is agreed by the agreed time. They are a friendly and charming bunch, and will go out of their way to help and advise you. I wish more of my friends lived in the area so I could introduce them to Dave and Shane and the excellent work they do.

| Im an ex-engineer and so am quite fussy that work is done correctly. I found some Garages seriously lacking but Sun Garage I have been using for around 3 years now and they are great. They do a job and they do it right. They clearly explain what needs doing and they tell you the cost and actually have saved me money in the past. Their costs are very reasonable and I like the way they inform you if something is liable to need doing soon or something to be aware of. Without fail they give a prompt, friendly and do what they say their going to do within the timeframe they say, service, MOT check and/or repairs. I've never experienced being "ripped off" as I have at other garages and think they provide overall value for money. They always take time to explain what and how they're going to service or fix my car's problems as I like to know. | As a professional engineer and amateur mechanic I am very conscious of the performance of garages that I use for work which I can't do for myself. I have been a Sun customer for 13 years and have never had any cause to regret my choice. The service is friendly, prompt and efficient and excellent value. They will always "go the extra mile" in the event of a breakdown.
I am also a terrible cynic and don't trust a word on revue sites as my feeling is that anyone could write them. Hence it is not important to me whether the garage is in a scheme or not.
